The Gift of Home
David came home from school, broke down, and cried.

In this four-part series, we speak to his family on their decision to leave everything behind in pursuit of a better life in a new country, overcoming barriers to share Christ's love with others in our community.
• My Responsibilities: Story Producing, Conducting on-camera interviews with family • Filming/Editing by Joaquin Aguilar
Part 1/3 | Hope for Home
Part 2/3 | Making Home
Part 3/3 | Sharing Home
4 Corners | A Global Mission
The Gift of Home
The chief of the indigenous Cabécar people of Costa Rica looked our pastor in the eye and asked:
"Will you be any different than the people who came before you?"
The Cabécars have faced decades of discrimination from their own government, which has pushed them into a designated, remote region of mountains. Many missional organizations have come, promised change, and abandoned the people.
Because of the extremely remote locations of most of the villages (the farthest village is a 3-day walk from Jabuy), many people do not survive emergency situations, and the infant mortality rate is 10 percent.
4 Corners Global Mission aims to build generations of Cabécars with hygiene education, opportunities, and a way to combat a deadly disease spreading rapidly throughout their village.
• My Responsibilities: Story Producing, Conducting on-camera interviews, Narrating on-camera • Filming/Editing by Joaquin Aguilar
Part 1/3 | The Mission So Far
Part 2/3 | Building the Basics
Part 3/3 | Battling Leishmaniasis

4 Corners: A Global Mission
When 4 Corners Global Mission first met the Cabécar people more than a decade ago, they asked, "Will you keep your promises or be like everyone else?" The indigenous Costa Rican people group has faced decades of discrimination from the government.
In this three-part series, we see how the friendship between St. Andrew and the Cabécar people brings healthcare, hope, and investment to help stop a deadly disease spreading through the Cabécar villages.
